It is my passion to help people in pain. You may feel misunderstood or not appreciated. You may be struggling with depression, or anxiety. You may be experiencing a significant change or life transition. If any of these statements resonates true to you, I am here to help. Our therapeutic relationship is of primary importance, and will be the vehicle for change in your life. I will guide you to develop insight into solving your problems, help you to reduce stress, and increase your energy.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993. I completed my internship at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex. I received my certificate in Analytical Psychotherapy from the CG Jung Institute of Chicago in 2008. I am listed on the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
It is my belief that building a good therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is essential to effect change in the client's life. Once we have built a trusting relationship, we will focus on your self-determined goals for therapy. My approach is insight-oriented, in other words, I like to help guide you to arrive at your own insights into your problems and the solutions. I am especially interested in any dreams that occur while you are in therapy, as they are the looking glass into the unconscious.
